We have a large number of Senior Golfers in the Club and about 70 - 80 are members of The Seniors' Society which was formed in 1970. This is a vibrant and friendly group of which about 20 - 30 members regularly play every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at about 8 a.m.
They play weekly swindles, a number of competitions and inter-club matches, as well as enjoying Away days & tours. The Society is open to any club member aged 55 and over. New members are always welcome and anyone wishing to join the Section for the small annual subscription of just £5 may get information from the Club Secretary or Professional.
The Seniors' Captain for 2024 is Wayne Davies and his able deputy is John Rother and is also the Hon. Sec.
Comprised of boys and girls from 8 to 18 years of age, our Junior Section has grown in numbers over the last few years. We believe this reflects the growth in popularity of golf with young people, combined with the commitment and dedication of our junior organising team and the Club's professional staff.
Our objective is to support our junior members in realising their potential and to support their progress in learning the game.
Our Junior Section is crucial to the future success of Newport Golf Club.
Of paramount importance in providing junior golf at Newport is the safety and welfare of our junior members. We aim to provide a safe, caring and inclusive environment for junior golf to flourish.
Traditionally, Monday's is Junior Night.
We have 3 Junior Organisers:

Five Mens teams in the Gwent League.
