This opening hole is a Par 4, slightly dog-legging to the right. The tee shot is blocked on the right hand side by a mature oak tree, while the left hand side is protected by a fairway bunker. The green is surrounded by bunkers forming a narrowed entrance. The green itself is generally flat, however, there is a slight slope at the front which can provide a challenging pin position.
Pro's Tip
“A gentle uphill hole to start which requires a good solid tee shot to be able to see the flag clearly for your approach. Take a little more club for your second to ensure you find the heart of the long, subtly contoured green.”
